Description
The Gascan is a wide, flat-fronted rectangle that wraps at the sides: the frame carries on past the lenses into a deep, squared-off hinge, and the arms run straight back from there. It is a solid, low-slung shape with a full rim around two separate lenses.
This is matte black throughout, with a bronze-toned metal Oakley icon set into each arm. Prizm Black is a dark, near-neutral grey with a light silver sheen. Prizm is Oakley's contrast-tuning lens technology, so detail stays separated in bright light rather than flattening out the way a plain dark tint does.
The frame is O Matter, Oakley's own lightweight frame material, and the lens measures 60mm across. The lens is not polarised.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium. Grips became goggles, goggles became sunglasses, and by the 1990s designs like the Eye Jacket and M Frame had rewritten performance eyewear.
