Description
The Frogskins Range is a reworked Frogskins, the Oakley shape first released in the 1980s: a wide, slightly sloping top line, softly squared lenses and a keyhole bridge. Each arm is split into three sections, with a large OAKLEY wordmark up front, a contrasting band through the middle and a tip with a dotted grip on the inside.
This is Matte Black, though not a solid black: the frame is matte black along the brow and fades into a frosted, see-through smoke grey through the lower rims. The arms follow suit, black up front with a white OAKLEY wordmark, then translucent grey to the tips. Prizm Sapphire is a bright blue mirror that shifts to violet towards the outer edges and reads a warm bronze from behind.
The frame is O Matter, Oakley's own lightweight frame material. The lens is not polarised.

About Oakley
Oakley started in 1975 in Jim Jannard's California garage, selling motocross grips made from a material he invented and named Unobtanium. Grips became goggles, goggles became sunglasses, and by the 1990s designs like the Eye Jacket and M Frame had rewritten performance eyewear. The obsessions have never changed: material science and optics, from O Matter frames to Prizm lenses tuned to sharpen contrast in specific conditions. Worn at the highest level of sport and collected well beyond it.
